By employing qualified counsellors, Open Arms has been able to provide innovative services to veterans and their families for almost 40 years.

Our working environment is professional, well supported clinically and administratively, and dedicated to providing collaborative and optimal health outcomes.

Before applying to become a provider, it is essential that you read the Open Arms Provider Notes:

The Notes contain detailed information on the provision of Open Arms Outreach Program services and outline the terms of agreement.  Prospective providers must agree to the conditions set out in the Provider Notes as part of the application process.

How do you apply to provide Open Arms Outreach Program services?

If you agree to the conditions in the Provider Notes, the next step is to complete the Statutory Registration Application form.

You can use this form to apply for any or all roles – just mark the appropriate boxes.

Please note: Modern web browsers have PDF reading software built-in but they do not support the full implementation of the PDF standard. For example, some modern web browsers restrict users from filling in PDF forms. To fill in a PDF form electronically, first save the form to your computer and then open the PDF file with Adobe Reader or an alternative PDF reader.

All applications must be accompanied by the requested documentation when lodged.

Submit your application by using the email option at the bottom of the form, or you can send it directly to OPENARMS.OPCMANAGEMENT@dva.gov.au.

Applications will initially be assessed for basic eligibility – if this is met, you will be contacted by your local Open Arms Centre for an interview before a final decision is made. We will keep you up to date as your application progresses through our assessments.

If your application is successful you will receive official notification of your Statutory Registration with Open Arms. Your local Open Arms Centre will then arrange for mandatory induction and training relevant to your role to be provided before you can provide services.

Open Arms takes care to ensure providers are matched to clients depending on the needs of the client, location and expertise of the provider. Please be aware that registration does not guarantee that you will receive referrals from Open Arms.
